Lucky Chance is a young Australian with an obsession for the outdoors. A climber, free-soloist, gymnast, slack-liner and circus-enthusiast, he has finally found his calling as a BASE jumper. This is just one section of insane adventure film, ‘Smitten the Movie’, that shows Lucky on some of his craziest stunts yet.

With the promise of chips and gravy if he makes the jump, Lucky heads out to the Blue Mountains in Australia to try his hand at the Death Swing. As ominous as it sounds, it is a long rope attached to the top of the cliff face with only two small loops at the end for hand holds. Lucky’s task? To hold on to the rope, jump from the cliff, swing out, do a couple of flips and free fall back to earth – of course, releasing his parachute as per a standard BASE jump.

But this is no ordinary BASE jump…

Getting up to his 100th BASE jump, something goes wrong with Lucky’s parachute and… Well, you’ll have to check out the film to see whether Lucky lands on his feet.

Did you know?

Lucky had to stop climbing when he got tendonitis in his forearms – as he put it, ‘a chronic disease known as doing something too much.’

BASE is an acronym for the four categories of objects that a person can jump from – Building, Antenna, Span and Earth.
